For the eighth time I took part in Royal Horticultural Society Photography Competition and I was delighted with this year results. One single image commended in Abstract category, Gold Medal (my fourth!) for my Portfolio "Dancing Flowers" and on top of that - Best in Show in portfolio category. I was looking for something completely new from visual point of view for this year exhibition for a while. I have always been fascinated by movement and dance and idea to mix flowers and movement in one shot was lingering in my mind for a while. Despite my best efforts my flower models refused to dance for me. The only choice left was to create my own movement. I have been experimenting endlessly with different camera movement and shutter speed in order to create an ethereal atmosphere and an illusion of flowers dancing with their shadows. My goal was to create a final shot in camera using slow shutter speed and multiple exposure, leaving to post-processing as little as possible.
